Striving for Cultural Competence While Preparing Millennials as Emerging Professionals

Abstract: The authors explore why many of the predominant challenges in field may be best viewed from a cultural-competence perspective. This paper emphasizes the historical context, cultural trends, and common traits of the millennial generation. The term Millennials in this paper identifies those born between 1980 and 2004.
